My cat ( bandit ) died 3 years ago he was 20 and a house cat and I still miss him, he would be waiting for me at the back door every day for me to come home. (my wife said she knew when I was coming home because the cat would jump down from his chair to sit at the back door she said the cat could hear my car before I turned into the driveway) and then follow me around until I sat down to read the paper, he would be on my lap the rest of the night. I had him cremated and when I pass he will be buried with me.

Oh, that's sad. I'm sorry for your loss.
If you have a backyard, you should consider burying him there. If you don't have any yard, ask a friend or relative who lives near by (so that you can visit the grave when ever you want).

Sorry for your loss. I would bury him in the backyard, in a place that he liked, or that you like. Bury him deep enough, and put rocks over him so that neither you nor anybody who lives there after you might accidentaly dig into his resting place when later digging in the yard to plant a tree or something.
Again, sorry about your loss.

Well. You may want to find a special area at your residence that you can sit and visit the place and reflect on the good times. Or you can cremate him.

if you live in a house, you could bury him in your backyard. you also have the option of cremating him (ask your cat's cet) you could spread the ashes somewhere that your cat liked to play, or you could keep the ashes in a urn

I ran into that a couple of years ago. Talk with your vet about cremating him.
