Family always comes first. I have a few family members who work with me (we have a family business), and even then, their personal problems come before business.

I am a 911 Operator/ Medical Dispatcher. Hands down, when my family needs me, I take off work or change my plans to accommodate my husband and family. If I can't take care of my own family emergencies, how could I possibly take care of anyone else's?

Well I resigned from the company I worked for after my father had a stroke and it was either I resigned to take care of him or place him in a nursing home. So definitely family for me. ;o) And I never will regret my decision either.
