I really can't stand it anymore, like he speak spanish but has trouble speaking english. So today I had to translate for him sense they where checking the house. When someone comes in, he has to say hes whole name. Talk about his life, where he comes from, politics, and all this other crap. When they only want to check the house and ask simple question. Im telling him, to calm down and that they already know and I have told them. But he has to try to say it in English. It has to be a stranger, he will give them cookies or something. If they say no thank you he pursues them to take it. Hes loud, hard temper, and because of this I try to avoid him. I hardly go out to eat with him, he never goes to my school meetings, or any other school activitys. I just really don't know what to do, and Im stressed about this.

I tried talking to him, but for some reason he does not get it. He keeps doing it all over again.

I can't go out anywhere with him because if something goes wrong he is going to start yelling infront of people or start arguing which embarrassing.

Sometimes the only thng worse than our parents is not having them, isn't it? You sound stressed to the limit. Here are a couple of things you might think about. First, remember, he's your father, not you. If he does embarrassing things, it's not your fault, nor your responsibilities, nor is there anything you can do to fix it. Does he have any redeeming qualities? I hope so. The next thing you might think about is to remember your experience because it quite possible that your children will have the same or similar opinon of you some day. Isn't that the pits? Also, remember that your father is trying his best to cope with a very difficult situation not knowing the language that most other folks use. Sorry I can't wave a magic wand and improve things for you.

It's simple, your dad has no respect for you. My father made it a rule in our house, English only and, everybody had to learn. The Europeans were a little closer though, and in fact, if you asked them something about the old Country, the knives came out.
Thy wanted to know why you wanted to know so much so, maybe your lucky.

Tell you Pa that he's pushing all your friends away with his ways, to stop being so friendly. Tell him to sit back and relax, be plea sent and they'll be O.K. How old are you, that's the other choice, if your old enough and working, move out or, move in with a reletive.
