Between going to college, bars, and surfing the internet I have come to the conclusion that this current generation of young women (and maybe the one right before) appear to me to be more immature that others I have seen. It's like the only thing they want to do is get drunk, get laid, and do stupid stuff. Is this what has become of feminism?

These young girls today are young and full of it! (so was I at their age). There are young women who are wise beyond their years, but more often, maturity comes with age and experience.
I am concerned about some of the young ladies who post questions on here, for example: Does he like me? I look like this, would you be interested? My measurements are..would anybody date me? We had sex, does he love me? He beats me but I love him..How can I get him to like me? etc. The self esteem of these young girls are so low. That concerns me.
In defense of the girls, I see some men keep that low esteem going by answering questions and implying if the girls would do more sexual favors, then these girls would be tops! Message? The more open with sex I am, hey I'm the one they want forever!
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with sexual exploration. But for young women putting themselves out there and doing so JUST for acceptance isn't good in my opinion.Does it define them? Is that all there is to them? I think not. Their sexual being is only a part of them
So before getting off my soap box : ) Girls stand strong! Be who you are! Don't let anybody tell you who you are, or how you should be!

of course what were you expecting in a bar? depends on which colleges you've seen and the internet is too a deep an ocean to surf... I can agree to some extent that the majority of teens and young women can be immature but how is that any different than the fact that the majority of teen boys and men are immature as well. Just because we're girls doesn't mean we have to act proper all the time. I blame it on tv =)

I like your question and I can tell you that I'm a woman who doesn't like the way the majority of women and men behave. What about respect and friendship before anything serious? I certainly can't get involved with a guy until I know him and trust him. Because of this, I spend lots of time single in between going out with guys because there are so many of them just pressing for physical closeness before there is any friendship. Many many girls are as you say getting drunk and going headlong into sleeping with guys and hoping that this will bring them love or some sort of quick gratification. I will never ever understand this. I am old fashioned but not at all cold. I'm able to love and receive love but to me love means respect and not quick bodily satisfaction.

Excume? I think you need to ask that question as well on men. Men have been doing it years and years, more then women. Why are you not so worried about that? Oh wait, the women is supposed to make you a sandwich is that what your saying?
Like it's always been, if women sleeps with guys because she wants to she is considered a whore in this society. But if a guy did there considered pimps and think it's ok. So in conclusion, if you got your heart broken it's not the rest of womens fault. Not all women are the same and neither are the real men. So think before you speak.

My best response is the diva "role models" such as the skanky Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie being all over the tv and rags and recieve all their fame for having rich Dads and being sluts. Unfortunately they are considered famous- and young people simply immitate what they see as "popular"....ewww Paris is nasty....lol

I too have noticed that they try to be more sexy with always talking about sex. How lame to think they can lure men into their beds with such actions...
I don't know 90% of the time when one is like that they will cheat on you in a real relationship.

Hi I am a older man and the young women I talk to are mature. Now this is going to be really funny. I have tried to date women my age and find they are very immature and act like high school girls. What is up to that anyway. That is why I like younger women. Oh by the way I have not yet found any older women mature.
