Drinking coffee at each meal is NOT going to cause you to gain weight... and it's not going to hurt you any either!
What causes you to lose weight is monitoring what you're eating. The drinks are OK as long as their not sugary or high in calories. Coffee is a low calorie drink.
If you want help on what not to EAT so you can lose weight, try The Logic Diet.
This is a new plan that's about to sweep the country!

Coffee is actually a central nervous system stimulant. Its effects speed up your heart rate and metabolism. It would actually cause you to lose weight if taken enough.
Be careful though. Coffee causes severe dehydration is adequate amounts of water are not consumed throughout the day. Also, coffee is very addictive and its withdrawal symptoms are fairly nasty and can include nausea, vomiting, and terrible headaches.
Better way to lose fat is to perform low-intensity exercise for long periods of time, specifically: exercise for 20 or minutes at 60 percent of your maximum heart rate. You can find your MAX HR by taking your age and subtracting it from 210, eg if you you are 20 years old, your maximum is 190 bpm, so you would want to exercise at 115 bpm. You should go and buy a heart rate wrist watch to help you acheive this

You need to drink water along with the coffee, because too much can cause you to be dehydrated. Coffee has antioxidents in it, as does tea. I found that the more coffee I drank in the morning that the less I ate. I use Fat-free/sugar-free flavored creamers and Splenda in my coffee so there is very few calories. On Weight Watcher's points plan it is only 1 point for coffee this way.

If it's caffienated then it may actually help you lose weight. Caffeine is a stimulant in a lot of diet pills. You have nothing to fear from the coffee, unless you put sugar in it (sugar is 18 calories per teaspoon) which could easily hurt your chances of losing weight if you're looking to cut calories. If you put cream, it may be even worse. Cream contains fat, and each gram of fat contains 9 calories (vs. 3-4 calories per gram of carbohydrates of protein). Hope this helps!

The more you drink with few calories will help you to lose weight. Liquid does help fill you up. I don't advise drinking a lot of coffee though. I would just have one cup of coffee a day. Drink lots of water!!!!! Water helps to fill you up as well, plus helps to cleanse your body of toxins.
Good luck!
