Soaps or cleansers that contain salycilic acid zap oil. There are a million drugstore products that contain it, pretty much anything that s labeled "acne" wash/cleaner. I don't know about vitamins or pills that would do this, and if there is such a thing it's probably not over the counter.

I have the same problem, here's what I do:
Don't use anything that will over-dry your skin, like strong toners/astringents. They take away the shininess for a little while, but your skin will overcompensate by producing MORE oil... bad news. So it sounds crazy but moisture is your friend. I really like Biore Shine Control moisturizer, I used it all summer while I was lifeguarding in the hot sun and it was awesome! Make sure you exfoliate once a week or so, St. Ives has a good line of natural exfoliants. Proactiv has a good "mattifying" cream you can use, also their sulfur-based Refining Mask once a week - I wouldn't recommend their whole system, but some products are outstanding & hard to find in other (cheaper) brands. Most importantly, drink TONS of water! It's so good for you, helps your skin flush toxins (skin is the bodies' largest organ, it needs to get rid of bad stuff too!) and keeps everything in balance.

some human beings only have oiler dermis than others. Wash your face two times an afternoon with a cleanser meant for brilliant dermis, then positioned on an oil-loose gentle moisturizer. if you're a woman then you truly may also use pressed powder in the course of the day to get rid of shine.

A green clay mask works great! (burts bees has a nice one.) Leave it on about 20 minutes, you can actually SEE where the oil has been soaked up out of your pores, then rinse it all off.
