hold the lighter tightly in one hand and the bottle in the other graspining it just beloow the top extreamly tightly. The take the hand wiht the lighter and let the lighter stick out about half an inch. then place the thumb of the hand with the lighter against the one holding the bottle hand pry up. You are sing the hand holding the bottle as a fulcrom or leverage point.

u dont u just use a bottle opener, unless u are talking about those lighters that have the metale thing near the bottem, but i dont know how to use those, just go ahead and open it by hand, or bottle opener which is safer, cuz the one i had broke the bottle and i still have the scare where it cut me

Its tricky, basically apply pressure to the edge of the cap while using the base of the lighter as a pry bar.

The hole in the metal plate for the bolt to fit in in a door frame is my personal way to get the caps off foreign beers when otherwise I'd be SOL.

I've never heard of this, but I'm guessing you could heat the air at the top of the bottle with a lighter so much that the air pressure would shoot the top off of it, but you're probably going to end up heating the drink a little bit.

VERY CAREFULLY!!

My boyfriend does it all the time, and he's had several explode!

Bottle openers are cheap, and they even come on keychains!
