The creation process here on earth such as bringing ideas into physical form is accellerated by circles, clubs, committees, think tanks, "secret" societies?, churches, militaries, and so on.

Of course you can argue that there is strength in numbers, but there seems to be more to it than that.

If we all "choose" our own path, why the desire to sacrifice, conform, and fit in? Even if we know that self-revelation and paradigm changing is a personal battle?

Maybe someone could clear this up in their own words.

If we didn't follow our own path.. how could we ever come up with anything to bring to the circle? We would just have a bunch of people "going in circles" with the same commen and generic information.. and never branch off towards progress. The strength isn't in numbers... it's in diversity. And you can only be diverse.. if you follow your own path. ( There you go.. my take on it in my own words!)

I think its simply because we as humans need encouragement to move forward usually. Occasionally someone makes a strive on his own but more often than not, we need back up and support. If there was something I had an idea to invent, I would probably need the help of someone else to bring it into being. It's not usual that we can think out an entire process of something especially if it's new. I have an idea, how do I make it happen? Can I do it with no help? If so, how can I get it to the rest of the world? If I had an idea and didn't share it with anyone, I wouldnt know if it's something that would be acceptable or not. So Im much more likely to bring someone in on the idea with me.

There are as many ways to spiritual enlightenment as there are people walking the planet. In this I agree that each of us ultimately follows our own path. But, in doing so, we can find others who share the same basic tenants of our beliefs. We are still individuals and as such bring our unique viewpoint to an issue discussed or a groups problem that needs to be solved. We also will bring our unique talents and abilities to the group thus helping to create a situation where the total is greater than the sum of its individual parts. None of this in any way diminishes our unique perspective or the unique path we walk.

We were put here on this earth to gain free agency. We are here to choose. That is what following our own path is about. We are free to choose which paths we take at any given moment. Not every one wants to fit in or conform. I think that deep down we wall want to be needed and loved. God has set us up with a divine plan.

I feel it's best to have a good balance between following our own path, yet being aware of how it affects others. Working with others when necessary, so that everyone's paths can be followed. I feel it is possible for many paths to exist without overriding one another...maybe just a little meandering now and again. :)

good question. My father replaced right into a strict muslim and my mom an atheist. My father in no way instilled his faith on me fortunately. I grew as a lot as appreciate everyones good to practice their faith even with which will be, yet to stress ones beliefs on yet another - that's the project I somewhat have. it truly is not the fault of God (whichever structure he ought to take) it truly is the interpretations and warping of non secular books to in structure ones own agendas that reason complications. So I stick with my own route with an open concepts ;)

There is strength in numbers and the group that can sway the majority almost always wins. Humans instinctively know this it is a survival thing.

I am going to follow the path the Lord choses for me. I do not care about the path other would like me to follow.

Fine. Say you have a chain. Every link in the chain may appear to be the same as the next, but in reality each one is different than the others in some aspect. People are like those links, similar ones can come together to form something stonger than they would have alone, but each is different in their own way as an individual.

We come together to make something more than we do alone, but we tend to come together with those who are more similar to us than different.
