I know this mother that is so close to her 60 year old son. She has a picture of him @ 60 years of age on her key chain. She also has another photo with him and her hand is on his lap. She always talks about him day and night. Even when she dreams about him she wakes up yelling his name. As a housekeeper, they even go on vacations together, and I talked to her friends, and they said when the go on vacation "they play with each other". Can this mother and son really being sharing the same bed.
And when they stare at each other across the table it's as if they are in love with each other and communication like lovers. Would sleeping with mom be elder abuse? Or your thoughts?
He never did get married. He's gay.
Yes, the mother is 90 years of age, and he even massages her feet every night before going to bed. I've seen it.

Ely, get real. She even goes to the hair dresser once a week and dresses extra special for him for dinner. Don't women ususally do that for their husbands not their sons?

If you're concerned about it being a mortal sin, pray for them.
If they aren't hurting anyone, leave them alone. They may be living outside acceptable standards, but they are harmless to everyone else.
To get the social services involved at this stage would just cause grief for both of them. I don't think she's being abused. It's possible that a LONG time ago she was abusing him...but to try and unravel the dynamics now...I'm not even trying.

How are you positive that this is a mother and son.. Granted they may SAY this is what they are... but do you realy know for sure. Given their ages.. things were much different when they were younger.. and for whatever reason unbeknonwst to you.. they may have decieded to begin this charade for a reason.
Or they could just be incestous (sp?.. sorry don't use that word much.) sickos.
Mortal sin? I personally don't know what the requirements are for a sin to be officially classed as mortal.. so can't help you there.

What does this have to do with religion or "sin?"
It sounds quite possible that the mother and son have been intimate for a very long time, possibly the son's whole life. It's more than likely the mother that instigated and continues it, not "elder abuse."
Then again...why are you so worried about this? They're not hurting anyone...I'd suggest you just leave them alone and worry about your own problems :)

Its hard to say if they have a great love for each other as mother and child or something else. I would give you this advice. Do not make a conclusion to something that you do not have all the answers. Also is it right that you be the judge if what they do is right or wrong. I know one thing. I would not want to judge people morally. We are all raised by different parents and different values. As for as I know there is only one who has the right to judge a persons values. I am not perfect so its not me... are you?

I hope it's just a mother and son relationship, and nothing more. Please do not be scruppulous about this, especially if he's the only remainning relative alive. There is nothing wrong with a son showing or demonstrating his love for his mother. I do this with my own mother too when I go home to the Philippines. It is all showing love and gratitude, nothing more, nothing less.
It is very ,very rare for a mother and son to commit incest.

This is none fo your buisness. as a maid, your job is to clean their home, and that is it. They may not be Catholic for all you know. Her son is acting like a Man by taking care of widowed mother. They maybe all they have in the world. Shame on you for b eing nosey! I think you should go pray and ask God to forgive you for being nosey and spreading gossip!!
