Ashoka was the ancient king in India. He was very brave and had very large kingdom. According to Sanskrit language shoka means sorrow or grief (Intense sorrow caused by loss of a loved one (especially by death) ) and A-Shoka means a man having no grief or sorrow. Or a man having great unhappiness.
