It depends on where you shop and what size you purchase. For a regular size of vanilla flavoring anywhere from 2.00-3.50 and baking soda .50-.75. Go to a regular grocery store for the best price.

If you're buying pure vanilla extract, it ranges from $3 to $4 or more here in grocery stores in the Midwestern US. A box of baking soda is usually pretty cheap -- somewhere around $1.25 or less.

If you plan on using imitation vanilla extract, it's considerably cheaper -- usually under $2 a bottle. And if you catch a price break at somewhere like Big Lots or Deals, you can save even more money.

Where I shop a two ounce bottle of pure vanilla extract costs $2.99 and a 16 ounce box of baking soda costs 99 cents.
Of course these are store brands.

Good luck on your project!
