also remember that *EVERY* type of jewish group agrees on at least one core belief. if they do not, then they are not jewish.

that is the one-ness of God. this is why the "Messianics" and the "jews for jesus" and whatnot are *NOT* jewish, but christian sects.

christians split off and make their own church on the littlest things, its silly really, IMO.

Judaism its not as prone to breaking up, as its all based on God.

I think one point would be that Judaism doesn't have a "we're right and everyone else is wrong and will be punished" attitude, so I don't think we feel the need to be as divisive.

People often choose a religion based on what they grew up with, but it should be that people research and educate themselves about their beliefs and then seek confirmation from God. I agree it is crazy how many religions there are. IF there is one God, and you think that God isn't a God of confusion or doesn't wish to mislead us, THEN it is only logical there would be one church (especially because most of the churches teach such drastically different things, with many contradictions - therefore, all cannot be of God, and if not of God, then of man or satan). So, I think it is important to make an educated decision. One that is also based on faith and prayer.

When choosing a religion, of course people choose the one that makes the most sense to them. That's human nature. But there are also those who were taught it from birth so it always "seems" to make sense. Sometimes they grow up and think "wow, that doesnt make sense" and look around for something that does. I am a Christian but I cant honestly say that it makes no sense to me even though this is not how I was raised.

Sorry, but I'll have to say False to this one.

Some people don't understand what they practise. Others have been brain washed, while others have it forced on them. (look at the middle east. The penalty for converting from Islam is Death)

In my case, I never choose Christ. He choose me first. I first read the bible when I was 5... and, to this day, I have never doubted a word!
Like everybody else... I have had my questions. I pray about it. and I ALWAYS get the answer(s) to my question.

People don't agree with one another, so they make up a "new" branch. Most folks are born into the specific faith, such as Jewish, Muslim, whatever.

False. Most people do not choose a religion. they are indoctrinated into it at a young age by their parents.

hmmmmmm.......religion not for me. One in Christ with all the children of God, being one body with the Lord. The true church is the made up of followers who are one with Christ. That guarantees them salvation through Him. That is for me.
