I feel very strongly about this woman and she is aware of my feelings. She is currently with someone else, so a relationship is out of the question. We have a very up and down relationship, we can go for days without speaking and then a day later we can become inseperable. Things are very good at the moment.
Today we were talking and she just came out with it. "You're so unpredictable" She even said that all other men are predictable, all except me. It sounds like a good thing to me but i'm not sure. Maybe i'm seeing what i want to see.

it can be good or bad. the way she said it though sounds good. it means she finds you different. that's good, she finds you interesting which is great in a relationship. just keep waiting she'll come around. until then just be supportive. sounds like yall got a great relationship.

It's one of those comments that you can obsess on for ages, but was probably said without it being either an insult or compliment. Probably more a state of fact in your friend's eyes. Let the magnitude of the comment go. You will never fully understand exactly why the comment was made, so thinking too much about it will just send your mind spinning. I'm sure you don't have anything to worry about, which is the main thing.

Yes, I get what you are saying and your are in more of a position to have a more credible reaction to it.
But, your question ~ without the rest of the tale, would have me saying, 'It all depends upon 'how she means it,' and what's your take on the words n mood etc when it was said?'
Regarding the description of your interaction with her - Been there, and I know how 'goood' that feeling is. And I miss it.
I think that the 'unpredictable' is very much a positive, and an appreciative approbation of You. And, by the way, I think your decision is right, to not let things get 'mixed up' right now.

I like unpredictable men. Other women don't. Neither a compliment or an insult. Kind of like saying 'oh you have dark hair'! It's just a fact.

well, hard to say. It could mean spontanious which is a good thing. Or it could mean you are moody and she doesn't know where you stand. It sounds by your ups and downs that there is some stress. And since she has a boyfriend he might get jelous. To be honest I would back off. I am sure that your friendship will be stronger because of it and good luck.

I think it could mean both. Although the context that you have put it in, I can only assume it was a compliment... Being unpredictable can mean your exciting and you never know what your going to get.

I suspect that your friend is using 'unpredicatable' in the same way as she would use 'undependable'. Although there is a certain romance in being Unpredictable, most girls would prefer someone upon whom they can rely, certainly for a long term relationship.

Ithink this woman feels very strongly about as well. Despite this, the relationship you have at this point is as good as it is going to get.....any further and you both get burnt. It IS one of the most intriguing complements she could give you, and she knows it!
