The diet industry is huge in this country, and would not like this to get out, but the truth is really simple. There is a simple equation....metabolism + lifestyle = bodyweight. Sorry, but there really aren't any shortcuts or secret fixes unless you count surgery. If you enjoy a certain lifestyle that leaves you with excess body weight, then you have to decide which is more important to you. Maintain current lifestyle or have a lower body weight. If you want a lower body weight there is a simple but painful solution...lower calorie intake and more physical activity. However, don't get me wrong, I am not one of those people who think everyone should be skinny. If a person is very happy with their lifestyle and enjoys life immensely...maybe they just don't care for physical activity....maybe they love to splurge in their eating.....then I think that is perfectly OK. Then I think that you should work on being happy with your body the way it is.

Tell your cousin that she is putting her health at risk. How much weight is she trying to lose and why does she not care what she looks like unles she's going to a wedding? Why didn't she want to lose weight before the wedding? The best way to lose weight fast is eat healthy but eat and do alot of cardio. Tell her to keep all the weight she has now and love herself for who she is and not for the way others see her!

Tell her if taking pills was as easy as loosing weight, there would be not fat people. Just eat healtheir and exercise.

give your protein extra low calorie flavor by adding a salsa or chutney instead of a gooey cream sauce

store bought salad dressings can be packed with calories make your own vinaigrette and store it in a small spray bottle to coat your greens without over dressing them
