Well yeah! If you still had a conscious, things like compassion, empathy, love etc would still matter, you would strive to do right in order to experience them with others. Then there is the soul created outta love. Would it not care about sin or doing wrong? So I believe a person would still want to strive to be "good" regardless of a Heaven and Hell belief system.

Yes, beacuase in my eyes, "Christianity" is about control. And if lets say the Pope found out there was no heaven or no hell, he prolly wouldn't tell anyone to keep control. Same way with any other denomination, they woudl keep their mouths shut, so the money would pour in, they would keep CONTROL of the country (using USA as an example...) and get away with murder.
I bet i'm going to get ALOT of thumbs down for that..but I don't care. I follow the teachings of Jesus, not what a pastor, pope, minister, preacher ect say...

I don't necessarily believe in a "heaven" and "hell" in the typically used way, but I agree you wouldn't give a crap if there was no law of God. The whole purpose of life would be destroyed. God gave mankind rules, and free agency, and by giving rules there must be a punishment, otherwise the law is for naught. And, if the law is invalid, then there is no God.

We all sin. Christians are not going to be in heaven because we are better than others or even good. We are going to be over there because we have chosen to be with Him forever. We would not make it without Jesus. Only by His mercy and grace. And that is a huge gift for sinners like us.

If there was no Heaven or hell, then Humans would be like animals. No wisdom of right and wrong. It would be awful. We see some of that , now, but Thank God, there are people who have wisdom in their Soul . God lives in our lives and most of us, try hard to instill the Spirit of God throughout the world. Anyone who knows right from wrong , wheather they admit they do not believe in God or they do. It shows that God lives in them. Even if they are in denial against God and they know right from wrong, then this is the proof that they do know God. The wisdom inside of the so called non-believer is there. It is a gift from God the Father Almighty. The answer is so simple. Yet they deny God.

Morality and religious beliefs are two separate issues. Many of my atheist friends, for instance, are moral people, and don't have the threat of hellfire hanging over their heads. Yes, there may be a few sociopathic people out there who would see this as an opportunity for malevolent behavior, but then, what kind of morality would such people ever have possessed in the first place, if their only motivation for decent behavior was to avoid divine retribution?

Yes because in general, regardless of religion, people like being treated with respect and also that people respect their bodies.
A lot of character qualities that cause one to sin are in most cases common sense.
