I'm 51.

is there anything after this?
...If you mean an afterlife, probably not. If you mean after asking this question, that's up to you.

why does the world / earth exist?
...Because it does. You expect meaning from a piece of rock?

are there any other lifeforms out there?
...There is much speculation, and because of the number of stars and planets existing in the universe, the likelihood seems high, but we have no direct evidence for it yet. (They just discovered flowing water on Mars last week, though. Maybe that is a harbinger of possible life.)

and is the anything in our DNA that tells you when your going to die?
...No, because you may get hit by a bus, a meteor, or a random radioactive wave that could set things in a different direction. DNA does not stand for Destination. It simply gives you your building blocks for life. What you put together is up to you.

John, the world exists because we are able to experience it, that`s it, no dogma or supernatural explanations. The laws of probability would say that "out there",( being mind blowingly absurdly vast), there will be SOMEWHERE, something we would call a `lifeform`. When, what, and where, are still to be answered. DNA is not a tool for fortune telling, it can be used for genetic information, some of which could indicate factors affecting life expectancy. IF life is cyclical, Big bang, fizzle, bang, start again, then we shall ALL be around again in approx; 16 billion years - probably on a Thursday!

i am assuming that you are not religious then, because if you were you wouldnt be asking this, but just looking forward to going to heaven. so i wont mention any spiritual opinions, just my own.
i believe that when you die, you die, and that is the end of it. however, since energy cannot be destroyed, your energy (life energy, soul, spirit whatever you think of it as) is dispersed back into the world, and converted into something else. however, you as a conciousness, as a personality, with experiences and memories, will not exist anymore, or at least not in a concious way.
why does anything exist? again, i will not give you the religious arguments, but tell you my views. i believe that the creation of the world was a freak accident. the laws of the universe do thing like that, you know. like turning vases of flowers into whales........
actually, reading douglas adams will answer all of your questions!!
they have just found water on mars, so there may be a life form of some description out there, and because the universe is so immense, there is always a possibility of more planets, even more solar systems supporting some sort of living organism. so until we have explored it all, we wont know!
nothing in your DNA will tell you when you are going to die or what of, (except a hereditary disease, that will be in there!) so im afraid i cant help you there.

hope i have helped you in some small way,
liz

1. now is the only reality that you need concern yourself with ("now" is an important word to contemplate)
2. the world exists for you - learn about "the law of attraction" - this is a question of purpose; i once heard, "when purpose is used for purposlessness, then you have the use of the thing"
3. if there aren't other lifeforms out there, then the universe is an awful waste of space
4. there are genes in your body that are immortal (an interesting concept)
You have unlimited resources before you to find answers. I would sugguest watching two movies: What The Bleep Do We Know? (the extended version) and The Secret(www.thesecret.tv).
both are excellent sources of information
I think it's great that you are searching for more than what life has already given you - keep it up. And remember, all paths lead to the source.

There's no possible way to know if there's anything after this... Therefore, it is irrational to assume that there is... Because we can't make the unjustified assumption that there IS anything after this, then we have to live as if there isn't... That means living every day to the fullest, and enjoying it all, because if this is all we get, then it's best not to waste any of it.

The universe exists, Earth exists, WE exist. NO point in asking why... No point in looking for purpose or meaning. You are an individual, you make your own purpose and define your own meaning.

We can make a logical guess as to whether or not there is other life out there... We look at our planet, and we see life, and we know what is required for life. Therefore, it can be assumed that if there are other planets out there similar to our own, in this MASSIVE universe, it is quite possible that there is also life on it. Furthermore, we only know the requirements for the type of lifeforms on our own planet. There can be other types of life, types of life that have different requirements. The possibilities are nearly endless.

When you die is dependent upon the life you lead. The time you die is based on your psychological health, and your physical health. DNA is just the, "code," that defines your physical and mental attributes.

Yes, there is something after this life. It is called the Hereafter. This life goes by in the blink of an eye. The Hereafter, however, lasts forever.

The earth exists as a place of trial. We are being tested as to who does the bests deeds.

Yes, there are other life forms out there. There are angels, devils, and jinn. Jinn are another life form that is here on earth to be tested. You can not see them though unless they want to be seen.

God knows best if there is anything in our DNA or not. However, every person has a set time that they will die. It is only known to God. And when your time comes, there is no escaping death. So do good deeds every day and worship your Lord without associating any partners to Him. The worst of deeds are to associate partners with God, because he gave you everything.

If you have any more questions, please let me know.

As my kids would say "Dude!" My goodness, you're just a year younger than me! These are questions people ask when they are much, much younger than you. With age should come certain wisdom. You might have learned by now that life is to be enjoyed and offers a wonderful learning opportunity which we experience through trials, tribulations and sheer joy. And unless your soul is prepared to move on, why would you want to know when you're going to die? Yes there is something after this. Yes there are other life forms out there (angels). And No, only God knows the time and day and manner of your death.

The answer to life, the universe and everything is 42. You're 4 years past that, so now it's too late to know about these things. Ask for a refund and if it's declined, try to force a few tears. It sometimes works on the less thick-skinned attendants.

Your question could be the basis for a series of books. But I believe we are here to learn on this Earth. As long as we learn and evolve we are living a worthy life. All of these questions can only be answered by your own personal explorations. 46 is young.

This life is only the beginning... if you're saved and have our Lord God in your life and in your heart, well then after this whole life thing, you'll be living in constant happiness. However if you don't choose this path, you'll be in hell... eternal pain. You ask why the world/earth exists. Genesis takes care of all that. God created this world, and we are His people. However some sadly haven't chosen Him, and they will defiantely pay after death. If you have any questions on getting to know God, email me
