Alright I am about to buy a new setup for Christmas. I wanted to get :

2 Kicker s12l7 - 4 ohm
A 2 Gage Wiring Kit
A 4 Farad Capacitor
A Power Acoustik A3000DB - 2,300 watts RMS @ 1 ohm and 3,000 watt peak

would this setup be loud? i know L7's are not known for quality, but how about for loudness? Can you recomend any thing different? Please comment on my setup first before recomending anything. I want this set up to be loud and be able to feel it.
Thanks!

Yes, they will be in a ported box and
I have a bunch of room in the back of a blazer but i will have to face them to the side window.

Since those subs are dual 4 ohm, you can wire them to 1 ohm, however, the total watts RMS of the two subs is 1500 watts, 800 watts less than the amp. It will be too easy to blow those subs.

To get a closer match, you'll want two 1100 watt RMS 4 ohm DVC (dual voice coil) subs and wire all the coils in parallel.

dude....it'll be plenty loud in the back of your truck man...but might i suggest that you use a sealed box in lieu of a ported one. sealed boxes are tighter and punchier than ported ones and they're SMALLER! you could feed 1000 watts into one speaker man...it's ok as long as you have the proper adjustments on the amps made!
how do you think that sony can get away with putting 1000 watts power handling on a 12 inch sub with a tiny-azz non-neodymium magnet without getting sued for false advertising??? because they are feeding that 1000 watts at 1000Hz instead of about 200Hz...which makes it only about 250 watts anyway...hahaha sony Xplod crap!!! get a JL or an Audison amp for some clean, true wattage
---------
plus you think a REAL 3000 watt amp is gonna retail for around $699 when a JL1000/1 Retails for $999??? you get what you pay for. quality wattage usually costs about $1/watt...sometimes more

2,300 watts will be loud - I don't care what speakers you have.

Just be sure the speakers are "in-phase" to do maximum damage to your hearing.....
