I have took ortho tryclyclen, ortho novuum, yasmin, and a bunch of others, i just started a new pack and i keep bleeding! On all these pills i would have like 2-3 periods a month and now this new pack i took 7 pills so far and i have already started bleeding again. Birth control pills are messing me up! What kind of pills do you use?

What you're having is called break-through bleeding. It can be very common. Have you tried each of the brands for more than 3 months? It can take several months for your body to adjust to the hormones. Also, if you are overweight the pills are made for women under 195 pounds.

I was in the same boat as you I had my period for 3 solid months after being on Seasonale for 6 months. I went to my ob/gyn and she started me on estrogen pills for a week and Yasmin and iron pills. She also tested my thyroid. The test came back normal and after I finished my estrogen I finally had a normal cycle.

Ortho Novum 777 and Ortho Tricyclen made me hormonal and break out, yasmin also did the same thing and I always had breakthrough bleeding with it too.

I am on something with a low hormone...I think it is Mersette...or something similar. I take a pill with hormones on 26 out of the 28 day pack. I hope it works!

The key thing to do is just keep talking to your ob/gyn. They can't help if they don't know and they really will eventually find the best pill for you. There are hundreds of different types of pills out there you haven't tried yet.

Good luck!

I have the same problem, no matter what pill I try I always bleed (and I have tried alot of pills and had 2 kids in the past ten years) So, I have the iud. It is the only thing that doesn't make me bleed all the time! Good luck!

I have tried several as well and Was on Norplant which was great-then my Dr recommended IUD, which was better until I was in a car accident and had to have it removed - tried Nuva Ring and it killed my emotions and drive - It is not an exact science and you just have to keep trying. If you have a stable relationship A non hormonal method may be the best option - talk to your GYN and see what other choices you have. Good Luck!

Birth control pills are the most unhealthy, dangerous things you can possibly do to your body. I would stop using the pills and try another form of birth control.

My wife cannot use the pill either. You might want to try the Nuva Ring. It works great for her and we like it a lot. Whatever you do don't try the PATCH, it is very bad for women some have even died. It made my wife's hair fall out.

I use Ortho tri Cyclen... they been working pretty good. I get my period on the exact day that i usually do every month. Have you try anything else...for example shot, patch, something else.

You keep taking ones that all have one kind of hormone only while there are some, like the one I use since my last baby called Logynon, that have three kinds of hormones. I used to have the same problem as you, so try them.
