be your self ... but try to be a little more out going maybe try talking to him... or doing something like that ... maybe it will work

Walk up to him and say, "So, are you going to ask me out on a date? Or not?" Then smile kindly, looking straight in the eyes with eyebrows slightly raised. And, if he looks down, take two of your fingers under his chin and move his head until he is looking you straight in the eyes. It WILL work.
Don't be subtle. Subtlety will not work. Shy guys either will a) not pick-up on your hints, or b) they won't have the brass to take the initiative.

My advice is to try to first bump into him and say hi even if you 2 barely know each other.
If he reacts in a good way, do it again and again until u can one day have a conversation.
Once u have established that one day just pop and say slyly, "I think ur very cute" or "I really like u". That will definently get his attention.

Trust me on this, you should go up to him and ask him out, I kow this because I am a shy guy too, he might try but he'll freeze up or something, but at least he'll try to be romantic about it.
