I think you go to court.

If you mean emancipation..

Per the Ohio State Bar Association: “While many people think that someone under 18 can go to court and “get emancipated,” Ohio law does not provide for such a court order."

But you are considered emancipated if you get married or join the military, both of which require parental consent.

I don't know about Ohio, but in the state of New Jersey, you (a minor) become emancipated under the following factors:
You become 18 years of age..
you join the military,
You conceive or father a child,
A court order.
Might be the same in Ohio, but not really sure. Not a cop in Ohio. :-D

It's emancipation, and you must prove to the court that your parents or guardians are irresponsible, and that you are capable of taking care of all of your own needs and expenses.
