Sounds like you have some hard water. You might want to invest in a water softener system. If you have a water softener, it might be the soap you are using.

Its called "hard water buildup" does your dishwasher slowly get this buildup over time? if so, your best bet would be to purchase/lease a water softener for your home~problem solved

Sounds like hard water...mineral deposits. I have that problem too...other than a water softener, jet dry helps a little.

it's lime and calcium deposits left behind from the water (hard water) , if you had a water softner you would eliminate the problem, at the very least "jet dry" helps

most likely borax or soda residue from the detergent?
