Because Christians are unimaginative. They stole the Jewish God and made him theirs...as a result, the Jewish God required BLOOD ATONEMENT for sins. So, being stupid pirates that they are, the early Christians just made up the whole needing to sacrifice himself (in the form of his son, to appease the wrath of...God himself, for a mistake He made.....).

Apparently you aren't understanding that God does not hold us responsible for Adam and Eve's transgression. We are all responsible and will be held accountable for our thoughts, deeds and actions. We all chose to come here, to gain a body and to learn, grow, have earthly experiences, and prove ourselves righteous enough to return to live with our Heavenly Father and Christ again...
Satan has power to tempt us, that means we are going to do something wrong at some point and some more than others. God knew we would sin and did not want us to have to suffer for our own sins, so His Son, Jesus Christ, offered himself to be the perfect sacrifice. I believe the atonement actually "happened" in the Garden of Gethsemane, not on the cross. Although, the crucifixition had to happen because Christ had to willingly give up his life, which He did. BUT He suffered for our sins before He was crucified...if you really want to know more about that you can email me...
You do have to consider there is a plan, eventhough we may not understand or comprehend all of our Father's will, there is a purpose for everything...

I can think of 3 reasons as to why God cannot just forgive.
1) Proverbs 17:15 say "He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, Both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD. " If God were to just forgive he would be an abomination to Himself. He cannot go against His own nature. A payment must be made.
2) He would also be unjust. Between the years 1990 and 2000 there were 200,000 murders in the U.S. Approximately 100,000 of those are unsolved (this is from the Census Bureau of 2000). That means that there are potentially 100,000 murderers that have never been brought to justice and most likely may never be. That means that they have committed the perfect crime - they have killed another person and gotten away with it. Does it seem reasonable that someone could live out the rest of their life and never pay for such a crime? If one of those murdered was a family member of yours, would it be OK for a criminal judge to let them go just because he wanted to forgive that person? That's why we have courts - to bring justice. Shouldn't we expect the same from God?
3) This is all for His glory and to show His kindness. God created us knowing we would sin. He is the only one perfect enough to pay for our sin through His blood. By dying for us He gets the glory for His sacrifice.
God didn't send Christ to be a good example. He sent Him to pay the price for our sin. The real tragedy is when we ignore it.
God is good and He forgives, but only those who humble themselves and repent and put their trust in Christ's sacrifice

He can forgive us all he wants, but it wouldn't cleanse us and make us pure. Okay what if he forgave Adam and Eve by eating a simple fruit? What next? Cain becomes a murderer - by far worse than eating fruit. See even if he kept saying, "I forgive you", we wouldn't change at all. We need something to cleanse our sins, and I don't know why only a blood sacrifice could do that, but if Jesus prayed that if there was another way, to spare him from the sacrifice, yet he was not spared, I know that for whatever reason a blood sacrifice is the only way in God's eyes.
Because Christ serves as atonement for us, we are able to receive the Holy Spirit, which is the antithesis of the sinful nature, and might be able to pursue righteousness.
We need atonement and cleansing, not just forgiveness. If the purpose of Christ's sacrifice could be summed up, it was not to "forgive us", but to cleanse us of something we cannot defeat on our own.

If we adore our fellow human beings a lot than why can we placed the undesirable ones in reformatory? If God did not love us we would not be right here on the instantaneous. God is only as well as loving. enable's say in some unspecified time sooner or later you got here living house and referred to a guy with a knife in his hand status over your bloody kin individuals. You chase him down and then call the police officials. They arrest him and he's tried in courtroom. Then the decide says, "i'm a loving decide so i make it easier to go loose". are you able to fairly tell me you'll not be bothered by using what the decide has only performed? sure he became being loving, yet he became no longer being only. interior of a similar way, God can no longer only sweep all our sins lower than a rug. Justice must be satisfied. That became the entire element of why Jesus got here and stood in our position on the go. He suffered the wrath of God that became due us. it truly is why he sends human beings to hell. they don't love God or want God so he supplies them what they ask for, an section without Him, Hell.

Because he wanted to show us how much he loved us. He loved us so much that he was willing to become one of us and endure all of the same pain that life deals out to us, then finally give his life for us. Again, not because he had to, because he was willing to. Have you ever heard a more beautiful story? And that was perhaps his second purpose in it all. God is like a writer who is trying to reveal his glory and goodness through the book called History.
Perhaps he could have just forgiven us, but what kind of story would that have made?
God had many shadows and types in the Old Testament to be fulfilled in the new. For instance, the story of Ruth, in which Boaz, a kinsman, redeemed her from her obligation to her unpleasant, unkind nearest kinsman. Jesus became our kinsman (a man like us) to redeem us from our nearest kinsman (Satan, who interjected his blood into the human race in the very beginning.)
The parallels found between the Old and New testaments are numerous and astounding.
By the way, there is no such thing as the "Trinity".
Ephesians 4:6 "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. "

You seem to have read just enough of the Bible to find something to question and feel you have a revalation into a fault. In fact, you have done nothing except show you never really read much at all. For all the nay-sayers.....if God was so easy to figure out that our feeble minds knew why He did everything...well, He wouldn't be God.

People need to see an example to know how to understand. If God simply forgives, where's the teaching, the lesson? So he used Jesus as an example of how to behave and worship him. People can understand because Jesus was a man. Remember man's ability to process information is limited. Too bad people still misinterpret the plain and clear message Jesus gave. Love one another. Believe in God and worship him. Be kind and gentle. What's hard about that. Everything else is doctrine made up by the religions of the world who seek to control you. Just believe and you are forgiven. It's simple.

Better question, for all the christians that get all bent out of shape about the torture- was it actually torture if the concept of the trinity is real? Its like a bizarre version of auto-sadomasochism or something.
