I had what can only be described as a heavenly experience (seriously) during surgery 21 years ago. It was the most precious experience of my life. It proved to me that God is real and Heaven is real. It also proved to me that we are sent to earth from heaven, because I was welcomed home during my surgery experience and told that I couldn't stay, that I had to go back.
During this experience, I saw millions and millions of the greenest, softest blades of grass, blowing softly in the wind. I knew each blade of grass, and each blade knew me. The wind was filled with the peace and the love of God.
I woke up in the recovery room after being "sent back". The room was filled with a very bright white-golden light, but it didn't hurt my eyes. The room also was saturated with the peace and the love of God. I also felt that every part of my body had been made new - down to the smallest cell. I felt like I had just traveled a vast distance, but I felt no fatigue at all. Even after I came completely out of the anesthesia, the white-golden light in the room remained.
For years I wondered why I had that experience. Now, I've come to feel that God knew I was in for some really, really difficult times and He wanted me to know beyond a doubt that He is real (and will be with us as we go through the darkest periods of our lives) and that Heaven is real also.
I never "saw" God, nor did I audibly hear His voice. It was more like messages from God were placed in my soul, in my spirit. I DID turn to look in the direction I felt the messages were coming from, but I was sent back before I could do that.

My uncle died on the operating table and came back. The surgeons were astounded by this event and studied him for many years. He claims he went to heaven. He would not describe it though because he said any description would make it sound not as good as it really was.

No. The BIble says, No man has died and went to Heaven, or saw Jesus, and lived to come back and tell it.
