As far as I know, wrinkled fingers result because the keratin-laden
cornified epithelium on our hands and feet takes up water; the swollen keratin causes the wrinkling. You'll notice that skin on other parts of our bodies, which is thinner and doesn't have nearly as think a stratum corneum (the dead layer that is mostly keratin), doesn't wrinkle. The stratum corneum is by far the thickest on palms and soles because the keratin is needed in places where the epidermis (skin) gets the most wear.

The water soaks into your skin and makes it expand. There are points where the skin is connected to the underlying tissue (the superficial fascia) and the skin stays "tacked" or connected here. The result is a wrinkly look. Skin on other parts of your body is thicker, so it takes longer to get saturated, but if you stayed in water long enough, your whole body would get wrinkled.

It is caused by movement of the fluid from on side of the skin to the other. This is caused by the difference in concentration of the fluids within the body and the water that the body is submerged within.

People have oil on their hands and feet naturally. When your in the water for a long time that oil leaves your skin and your skin can't produce oil, so you get wrinkly

It's because of osmosis and diffusion in your cells. I don't want to explain it, look it up
