I respect the Qur'an as a book that has had a strong influence in the lives of a great many of my brothers and sisters of faith. I'm a little surprised to see a Christian leader kissing the Muslim holy book, but I don't find it shockingly offensive. I assume he did it to show respect for their faith.

No as a Catholic I totally disagree with the Pope kissing the Koran,it seemed like a validation of it`s supposed equality with the scriptures and this is false.

He did it out of respect, as a way to heal the breach he created. What's wrong with it? He's more a politician than a pope anyhow.

either that is photo edited or not real, because john poope never kissed a book of other faith. Or it can also not be a book of other faith

I think it's nice to respect other religions even though you know your religion the only true one.
