Exercise cardio continuously at 60%-80% of your max heart rate for an hour and that should do it.
Or eat a little bit less. It doesn't take much to cut out 500 calories. That's 2 sodas, or a big bowl of cereal.

I would recommend a 1 hour spin class. You will easily burn 500 calories. Some people estimate you burn up to 1000 calories in a one hour spin class.
I think it is the best workout in the world. I can run 5 miles and wont sweat half as much.

Running a mile wont do it unless you weigh 500 pounds in which case you probably can't run that far.
30 mins of eliptical plus 30 mins of walking at 3 miles per hour at an incline should do it.
You'll need to do cardio at a strong pace for about an hour. How many cals you burn depends on how much you weigh, to a degree. If you are really thin you'll need to exercise longer o burn 500 cals than if you are heavy.
Most cardio machines will tell you how many calories you have burned.

Cross-training machine burns more calories than running...
Do it for an hour and you will burn around 800 calories at medium intensity... Feels great after you are done... I do it every other day and have since quit drinking coffeee...

Something high-intensity such as kick-boxing. (I do turbo-jam)
