I have a box of yellow cake mix here that calls for 1 1/4 cups water, 1 stick of butter(softened), and 3 eggs. Beat together the mix, water, and butter, mix in the eggs until combined, pour into pan or pans, and bake anywhere between 29-40 minutes at 350.

A 9x13 pan is going to be between 32-36 minutes.

about the only thing that is different from one prepared cake mix and another is the number of eggs . put two eggs in and that will be fine.
just mix the eggs water powered mix oil and water beat it until it is smooth some bubbles come up then stop wait until the bubbles go away then beat gently and pour this into a cake pan fill the pan about half way up you might need two pans. a cake most often cooks at 350 for 30 minutes. but if you set the temp at 350 and wait about 20 minutes and then slowly open the door and press gently on the top of the cake with your finger when it comes back up pretty quick the cake is done. .
also if you are using a regular cake pan not a non stick one then you should either put a little oil in the pan and then dust it with floor or just put the oil or lard on the inside of the pan sides and all so the cake will come out without sticking.

allow the cake to cool some before you remove it from the pan
you can run a knife around the sides to get the unstuck if it needs it then turn the pan over it should be cool enough that you dont need mitts but still warm and gently tap on the bottom of the pan with a flat hand . if it wont come out then run the knife around the sides again turn it back upside down and give it a few more bangs with your hand . have the cake low down to the spot you want to put it otherwise it will break and fall apart .
thats about it .
even if a cake drops you can still eat the cake it just looks funny .
have fun

Follow the recipe on the box. If you are following a recipe that calls for CAKE MIX, just use the flavor they recommend. Most are similar and will yield good results. I personally like Duncan Hines, and I am not a fan of Pillsbury, I usually buy generic when using cake mix as an ingredient.

Are you sure that it is cake ? If it were me, I'd put 2 large tablespoon of mayo, (instead of oil)& only 1 egg.about 11/2 cups water.Mix and bake at 350 for 30-40 mins.Until a toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean. The icing, I have never seen the kind in a bag---sorry.

If you don't have the box or a recipe don't bother baking has to be followed to the T it has to be correct on all levels or it will not work.
