No. It was many years ago. I am Catholic and my highschool sweetheart/boyfriend/fiance (3 1/2 yrs) was devout Southern Baptist. We attended both services and church functions. We eventually broke up but it had nothing to do with religion. Religious backgrounds as well as ethnic backgrounds can blend. Some may be too extreme to blend but there was a reason two people got together to begin with. My son broke up with a girlfriend because of personal differences involving religious teachings. But there is always more to it than that. They are still friends and she has since married.

I think if it does matter you never loved them anyways, love is something you feel, that you cant explain, that takes over you. Love is an all consuming desire to be with another person, thinking rationally doesnt come into love. If you give someone up for such a biggoted reason as religion you deserve to be unhappy for being so prejudiced! Dont care what the circumstances, you cant say you truly love someone if you leave them when someone tells you to lol, laughable really. Religion is a personal thing, who cares what religion your partner is, im catholic and couldnt care less what religion of person i marry, they can have whatever religion theywant. Why should religion be a factor in a relationship.............no one should have to change or give up their religion or leave each other over religion........how does who they pray to what they believe change the feeling that is love, all it changes is practicalities and practicalities dont make a relationship love does!

As the beatles told us "All you need is love"

No I haven't but I try not to get with people that are of a different religion than myself. It just causes probelms further down the road.

Sorry for assuming. If you are talking Islam and such there is no compulsion in religion to change anyones religion for marriage purposes just in case you are denied this right..hope this helps and remember love conquers all.

no it shouldn't matter as long as they don't try and convert me into their beliefs... no one should push their religion on others- that's just a turn off period :) :) :)
