because you get out of your face on Guiness, fall over, go to sleep and end up back in the UK with your underwear in a disgusting state because of the wet farts and sick all over your T shirt and you have to watch the match in a bar in effin Holyhead !

the distance is longer so more fuel needed. Also it is not the main means of travel between these two countries since low cost airlines came about. The ferry to France is in high demand as people go for day trips for cheap drink and cigarettes etc.

Travelled to France on the Calais crossing many many times,with different ferry cmps.
Why does the Irish crossing have to be so pants compared to those that cross the chanel
Now fly with Ryan air.

Dover - Calais is 29 miles. Holyhead - Dun Laoghaire is 69 miles. It stands to reason that it would be more expensive.

What's more, the ferries to France have to compete with Eurostar and EuroTunnel, which will both always win on speed and comfort. The only way to keep passengers? Win on price.

go to www.ryanair.com.. they have really cheap airfare, cheaper than the ferry itself
