I mean ive tried and tried but i cant get it right my hair is curly so its a real struggle since whenever i try it just curls back up, how do i spike it?

I have really curly hair too. Unless I have it cut like really really really short it still curls. My hair has to be like 2 inches or short to not curl. I use Got 2 B hair glue for the super stiffness and I wash or get my hair wet. Apply a generous amount and then sometime I blowdry it to keep it straight. Then I top it off with Got 2 B super hold hairspray. Good luck

use a strong hold hair clay..it will do the trick.

Use dep gel its the best.
