i have a friend who has white fingernails.
what i mean is insted of his fingernails being pink, there white.
what causes that to happen?
how could i help my friend out with this problem?
is it to do with poor circulation?

Could possibly be something called Raynaud's Phenomenon which is caused by very poor circulation. It can cause the fingers or toes to be a range of colors, including a white, almost waxy color. The capillaries in the fingertips and toes are affected most and a rheumotologist will diagnose after careful examination of the fingernails under magnification.

once you hit your fingernail or tap it too demanding it makes a white mark. effortless as that. some scientists say that's using calcium or iron stages, even with the undeniable fact that it truly is yet to be shown, and that i imagine it truly is a few distance-fetched also.

Tell him to eat some food high in viamins, or even taking every vitamin possible.
I'm pretty sure it's iron, but iron, c b and d could be it also.
He can get tested at a doctor to see if he's anemic.
Just go buy some iron and maybe a vitamin b or c and tell him to take them.

It must be because he/she is annemic (lack of iron).
Lack of iron will cause pale and whitish nails. Iron deficiency will also cause slow growth of nails and hair.Let your friend know about this.. I wish all the health for your friend. Its good that you care for your friend.
