He had basic training at ft leonardwood and graduated. We were not notified when/if he graduated from Goodfellow firefighter Training. Now he is in Ft Sill, Ok. I'm wondering what is going on?Haven't heard from him since he left Ft Leonardwood? Is this training before he is deployed? If so, doesn't it seem too quick? I am so worried. My Christmas will not be the same. Any help, Please!

Ft. Sill OK, is another Fire Support Training area If I am not mistaken recruites from Goodfellow AFB also spend 2 or 3 weeks at FT. Sill for further training before Graduating from Fire Support Training at GoodFellow AFB. Don't worry he is in the best of hands I think he is the hands of Major General David C. Ralston and CSM William High all great people. You should here from him soon though.

Parents are not always notified of completion of Techschool.
There is a form the soldier can fill out to do a press release if he/she desires but I never met many people who did it.
If you really want to contact him call the red cross, they are the
official liaison between civilians and the military for those kind of things.

it is the soldier's responsibility to tell anyone about transferring from one location to another, whether its for more training or a PCS.
He will deploy when they have need of him to do so, and they will train him well before they do.

If he is a Firefighter in the military he will be fine

my guess is he wants to suprise you for christmas. before you go to iraq you get time off to spend with your family.
