glass was empty at the time. i can't think of any explanation as towhy a glass would be knocked off the kitchen counter. even if it was placed on theedge, there would haveto be a force acting on it to displace it, right?

Do you have any animals? Was the glass underneath a heating duct? Did you have it sitting on the edge of the counter?

That's crazy! Recently, my friend told me about an occurence at his house. It was very similar. There was an empty plastic pitcher on the counter and the pitcher flew five to ten feet from where it was. At first I thought, what were you smoking? I found out that he was not alone. Apperently, his mom and his girlfriend witnessed it too. I guess they said that not so long ago his brother-in-law shot and killed himself in their property. So more than likely, it's a ghost. The best way to have the ghost leave is to have some sort of seance and have the ghost leave. I believe you got to identifyt the ghost first, and call him by his name and have him leave or aide him to get to the other side to rest.

If the glass was placed steadily on the table, the laws of physics state that inertia would keep it still, if the glass was wobbly or unstable to begin with, perhaps it is shaped lopsidedly, then there is an increased chance of it falling over.

Was the counter wet? Lots of times when I am doing glasses, set them upside down on counter, air inside expands, and they start slowly gliding across counter.
The first time that happened, I nearly shat my pants!

I read your last question... was it a plastic cup, or a glass? If you are trying to convince us that ghosts exist you may want to have had observed an actual event first and not just made one up.

No, if the glass was on the edge, it could stay there for a long time before it falls down, but it will, even if there's no other force.

There are such things as demons and satan could have done this to try to get you to wonder. for example at my house one time I was home with my brother and I heared a glass make a ping noise so i told him. And then after we thought someone was in our house then we heard a huge bang so we called our parents and they came home and nothing was moved nothing fell and nothing was out of place. Things Like that I dotn have a complete answer to.

OK. There are some ghost and demons and angels that hang around kitchens and their sole purpose of existence is to get your cup dirty. Bring in the priests and ghost hunters. =)

If you weren't in there, how do you know nobody else was in there? A pet, maybe. Or the heater came on and a gust from the vent knocked it over...

Was the base of the glass wet or dry? If wet, it can move very easily, especially if the work surface is not level.
