jeez, some of these people answering are insanely left or right... For a serious answer to your question,... yes you shouldn't need to get anything else for her. I would personally stay away from the Bratz stuff, but that is just my opinion. Kids love attention true,..and sure the meaning of Xmas is important to some, but if you think kids don't get excited about presents then your just not paying attention. Spoiled comes with how you handle the situation. It is a bit much, but in all reality it depends on how much you are buying her the rest of the year. Possibly try having her clear out older toys and donate them after she gets her new stuff on Xmas... My daughter is also 8... Good Luck

More than enough. Let me tell you from experience, this is not a good idea. I did this with my girls and now they are spoiled teenagers and their taste is a lot more expensive and there is no way I can buy them everything they want. If I had it all to do over I would make sure they know the true meaning of Christmas and that the important part about the season is creating a loving atmosphere, spending time with family & friends, etc.....

Too bad your parents didn't teach you money and material things aren't everything. You should be giving your daughter better values instead. Have her help you in some charitable cause. Maybe she could share some of those toys with a child less privileged than her or maybe together you could sponsor a child through World Vision or UNICEF. Or you might even consider teaching her about global warming or Green Peace and find out what you can do to help.

I'm sorry to say but your daughter might grow up to be a spoiled brat that can get whatever she wants, I think those r too many gifts for one kid, I hope she dont grow up thinking that money grows on trees. Dose she at least earn her gifts. Dose she even know that u have to work hard for your money? I have five kids and each and every one of them know that thier daddy works hard every day to be able to buy them food and clothes and to have a roof over thier heads, Please instill in your daughter the value of your dollar so she can appreciate what u give her and that u buy her these things with lots of love and sacrifice.

Wow...that's way too much. I think you are making her forget the true meaning of Christmas. In a couple of years she'll think it's all about presents. I've been a great student, well behaved and all of that for 17 years and my mom always knows how to reward me, even without presents and I like it better. Knowing that she is proud and happy is the best present ever. The presents she does give me are the ones she knows I've been longing for all year.

WOW!!!! way overboard. why do people think Christmas is all about presents. i have an 8yr. old daughter, she will get about 4 presents. i do not want her to grow up thinking that material posses ions are the most important things in life. always trying to out do the next. this is more then enough gifts. i would love to get my girl everything she wants, but ya know what? she don't want it all. her wish list contained three things. get back to the real meaning of Christmas. THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST. NOT WAL-MART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I think that you have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas.. It is not the material things that matter it is the birth of Christ Jesus...my daughter is getting 3 gifts from my husband and me.. a Diego backpack, a talking Dora, and a new baby brother due Dec.31.. I think that is plenty.. she knows that it is Jesus' birthday not hers.... She is more excited about the Christmas play at church than opening presents...

My kids alway got one or two presents, and we'd take a trip. My daughter developed so many interests from those trips that she became a writer so she could utlize what she learned without limiting herself. The best thing you could give your kids your time.

If you parents gave you just about everything you wanted, and you now have an 8-year-old daughter, may I make the assumption you are in your very early twenties and was a single mother??
