i would think light has weight (gravitation) so with inertia in the equation i'm not quite sure and if you already had it out in front you basically are just following it so if you sped up a little would you overtake the light?

As a physics major, yes, they would!
Even though you are already traveling at the speed of light, the source emitting the light (the headlights) is also traveling the same speed in relation to you. Once the lights are turned on, the photons will begin to move at the speed of light themselves. Now, to the outside observer, the photons are traveling at twice the speed of light!
If you were to stay ahead of the photons, the light emmitting source would have to have a stationary location outside of the vehicle.

They should do - the speed of light is relative to you so you should see the headlights normally. An outside observer would also see it normally, however shortened a lot due to time dilation (N.B. the speed of light is impossible to achieve as it will require an infinite force on an object - something no-one can do).

This theory could be argued...since the vehicle is already going the speed of light, one would have to assume that the headlights would project a beam in this manner: Vehicle speed (speed of light) + speed of light.

i would think since your going at the speed of light that you would be eveen with the light thust the headlights not helping you at all and having to be in space going very fast in pitch black darkness

YES as the lights are already going the seed of light BANG! you turn them on--now they are going the speed of light while going the speed of light

light a sparkler in front of you and run in the yard with it. This should give you some insight.

No. They would go zoom behind you because you are traveling as fast as they are.
