The theramones we set off tell a dog when we are scared/sad.
Thats why a dog will go into protective mode and bark and growl at a stranger in the street etc.
Yes - The dog loves you and is very concerned about your well being. They are very sensitive to you and your moods. You have a great dog there!

Yes they do know when you are sad. They sense that the same way they sense fear and danger. They know when you are sad, they know when people are scared, and many dogs can even tell when a person is no good, or dangerous. I don't know how they can tell but I know they can. I was sad and my dog came and leaned her head on me where I sat on the floor. I know she knew. How could they not? Don't we know when someone is sad? Hmm.

They sure can. My dogs know my moods and help me alot. My one dog knew something was wrong with my sister-in-law before we all did. For some unknown reason if it wasn't for his action she wouldn't have gone to the doctors. Come to find out she has Cancer. To this day he still stays with her when she comes over. He lays where the cancer is.

Absolutely they do. When I'm sad, my dog always comes over and pays special attention to me -- licking and cuddling more. I also love this -- usually when I get out of bed he'll follow me right away, but when I'm sick, he'll move into my spot to keep it warm and move right back over for me when I get back. They are just such sensitive creatures!

Yes, they do know all your moods. When my Dad died, my 2 dogs jumped in my lap everytime I cried, and snuggled up to my neck, until I hugged them up to me, and that always made me feel much better.
