McAfee asked me to install this?

McAfee asked me to install this program "Windows Script 5.6 for Windows XP and Windows 2000" to help solve a problem with Their software. I am using XP Professional
Just what does this script program do? Is it safe to use ?

Scripting.... It's a kind of mini-program that runs from code (not compiled). It pretty much is a way that programs can run different customizable tasks, that can easily be switched and updated. Lots of programs use scripting langauges.

Windows comes already with a version of VBS, Visual Basic Scripting. McAfee seems to want a newer version though.
