Take it easy, wash the cup and put some sort of non-caffeine drink in it. Cups fall off tables, without requiring ghosts or anything else supernatural.

Would you like to hear that you have a ghost in your house. Some people do, and I think that depends upon how old your house is.
My next answer would be wind, the house settling, or you just plain ole walked by the kitchen counter and knocked it off yourself for the benefit of the doubt I'll say accidentally.
Playing around with ideas like this is not nice because there are people who take this sort of thing serious.

Small breeze caused by your heating ventilation system?

Pet cat? (or mouse)

liquid seeped out of it, and it 'floated' on the thin puddle to the edge (I've seen this happen with heavy water glasses)

But- it's far more fun to think it's a poltergeist, a dead relative, or divine intervention. Let's have fun and use this to start believing in an omnipotent being that controls everything in our world and will send us to burn in hell for all eternity for not praying to him every day. Yeah- that makes a lot more sense.
