I think I know what you are asking. No religion is not the problem. Fanaticism is.

If you look at nearly all the wars in the world since the beginning of time, nearly all of them have something to do with religious differences between the parties involved.

Religion is a huge sticking point with many different races.

If there was no religion, the world might be a much better place.

But, also remember that people with a lot of problems need something to rely on - like a crutch - and that crutch for most Chrsitians is their religion.

If you took Christianity away from Americans, I'll bet a good number would commit suicide.

The problem is pride.

Like this "Oh, I'm better than you because I'm Catholic, even though you spend your life saving kittens and feeding homeless people with every penny extra you have."

Mankind likes its unfounded pride, and it will generally be a problem, even for atheists. You don't think atheists would stop fighting just because there was no organized religion do you?
