My mom and dad had my brother, sister and I nine years apart (we are 35, 26 and 17). Seems like a stretch, but it just happened that way.

There were some pros and cons to that- we all had the chance to feel like "only children", but the age difference was really too big for us to have the traditional sibling relationship and do things together. However, we were able to serve as a help to our parents with the younger sibling and as we get older, the age gap seems to narrow and we get closer. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have five kids Richie (13) Viva (12) Gavin (5) Noah (3) Lucas (1) and a little girl on the way. The three younger ones can be tough as they are all boys and still very young but there are advantages and disadvantages to everything. I love them all and wouldn't change one thing.

Mine are 2 years and 10 months to the day. They were both born on the 28th! And we are trying for another...if I am pregnant right now [testing tomorrow] this one will be 2 years and 6 months [well, 6 days short of it] I absolutely love it, my husband and his brother are 5 years apart and they aren't very close now. I would change it for the world!

my daughter is 8 years old and my son is 10 months old and i would not have it any other way. I see mothers with kids close in age ripping their hair out, i see it on a daily basis if i am out. My daughter is great with her baby brother and i am not always stressed as i do not have 2 kids that can not fend for themselves, just one. It's great!!!
