I live in Evanston, Illinois. I got pulled over a couple weeks ago for speeding. They gave me a ticket, but I lost it. What will be the penalty if I get pulled over again?

I live near Evanston. Go to the court building by Old Orchard and pay your ticket. They won't "forget" don't even think about it.

Just because you lost it doesn't make it go away. Contact your court and tell them what happened and take care of the matter before it gets worse. I don't know the specific punishment for not showng up in court or paying the fine as all states are different. But if you shine it on you will be worse off when they catch you again.

If you don't go to court, you will have a Failure to Appear warrant issued for your arrest. Once that warrant is entered into the system, you'll probably get arrested if you are pulled over again. My suggestion is to contact the court and try to have your court date rescheduled so you can take care of it before you have any unnecessary arrests to deal with.

You should get a copy of the citation as well as a summons to pay for it in the mail. If you don't get sometin in mail in less then 2 weeks I would just give the PD a call to see whats up.

This is not a driving problem. This is a court problem. You must drive to the court to pay the fine. They have a record of it so you will not need your copy of the ticket.

Go to the court house and pay the ticket so you can get your license back.
