As almost every answerer has said, i too think age doesn't matter. But are you sure you want to marry her? If she's really young (20 or so) you might have to put up with quite a lot... Because, you said the age difference bothers you, could it be because you think she might do/say something that would embarrass you? But if she's mature enough, i don't think age should be a problem. In this case i'm sure people around you won't make a big deal out of it either.
And someone said the woman is likely to leave you for some younger man... I very much dissagree! I am 20 and can realistically picture myself with a man 20 years older than me, not just until he'd reach 60 but till the end.
But your woman has to believe in marriage, that's so important to assure you two "living happily ever after"!

Sure it is ok. Although if you are embarrassed you need to get past that.

I personally have never met a guy who was glad they married a younger woman because the man has already had their family. The woman may want babys and he might not. he gives in, then she bails on him. Then there is an older dad taking care of the kids. I can't tell you how many guys I know that this has happened to.

You gotta remember that when you are 60 she will be 40. The chances of this relationship lasting are slim.

Just because you get along with her doesn't mean you need to get married. Lets say you are 40 and she is 20. Boy.........she has a great deal of growing up to do. If she is 30 and you are 50.........ouch again. Your body will be ageing and she will be wanting to do things that you might not be able to keep up with.

Can you imagine hanging out with her friends? How would you feel when your friends get together and she is talking about her fingernails and they are talking about grandchildren?

Give this some time and thought. It might work.

I am 56 and I get along very well with some of my kid's friends........doesn't mean I need to marry them.

And yeah, I have dated guys 20 years younger than me, but they don't know the same songs, the same history. I realized that I am flattered that younger guys like me, but I have NO interest in babysitting.

Don't even ask this question because the answer is definately "YES". My wife is 20 years and 6 months younger than I am, and I am as happy as can be. Just keep in mind that with her being younger you will need to be more patient and use wisdom when dealing with touchy subjects. Does this girl know how you feel about her? If yes, then obviously she doesn't have a problem with it. Go for it!!! As long as you have energy to spare, you should never put a question mark on "AGE". Love sees no number, I should know because I've been happily married for 15 years. Good luck and express your feelings openly to your friend!

Sweetie you should not care about the age thing. Age is only a stupid number. Once a man or woman have reached the age of 18, then true love shouldn't be based on age anymore. If she likes you to, then go for it. You are a lucky man. I assume most men will look at you as a hero in their eyes :)
Good luck

Well, sir, it all depends on her and your opinions of the situation. People online cant dicide where your love takes you. If you love the woman and she loves you, then the age difference becomes mute point. UNLESS you let it invade the relationship. If some friend of yours makes a comment about the fact that she is 20 years younger, then tell him its just a number.

Sure, if you both want that and she is the age of consent, then go for it. You shouldn't be the one who feels embarrassed... But it's a good thing to not listen to what others say, just do what you feel is right.

If you both feel the same about eachother then why be embarrassed.Who cares what the age difference is,what matters is what makes you and her happy.I say go for it you only have 1 life and 1 chance to make a go of it.Be happy.

Why? Lots of women prefer older men and if she loves you - great. I presume she's not underage - which would make you a dirty old man. Don't be embarrassed by the age difference - just enjoy each other.

Then don't do it...unless you can show her off as your woman, it won't work....besides remeber that when you get up in age she'll be a lot younger and just might take off leaving you high and dry...

There is nothing wrong with it as long as she is over 18...but I wouldn't....there are too many hot women my age to worry about craddle robbing!
