How do I get it to run smoothly with XP? It runs in slow motion.

Assuming you're talking about the 90's DOS game , I had it working smoothly using DOSBOX as DOS emulator instead of the XP internal emulation.
IF you gonna use it download also a graphical frontend for it, like D-Fend, for ease of use. Works for many DOS games that give you troubles in XP and is highly configurable for soundcards, drive/CD mappings etc.

Check the minimum system requirements for it and make sure you computer meets those. If not, you will have to upgrade your computer's hardware.
