well at my school we have a christmas dance on friday. theres this boy whos been talking to me more and more. he even ran up to me when i was leaving the school and asked me who i was going with to the dance and i had to admit, no one. and he was like i kno whos gonna ask you. and im like, who. and hes like, im not that kinda guy, he doesnt wantme to tell you. and so i started walking home b/c by that time i was outside the school. does this mean he likes me and is going to ask me to the dance? b/c i dont like him and so if u think hes gonna ask me, how do i let him down easy?

Yeah, he's probably gonna ask you. Nothing is worse than getting rejected for a guy. So be careful how you tell him you don't want to go with him, just invent an excuse like you have something else to do.

Surely if this guy was going to ask you, then he would have after he chased you down. He probably knows or has heard that someone is going to ask you to the dance...... & it felt good to be the "messenger". I would go to the dance even if you don't get asked. It shows you are independant & you won't feel like you have to be stuck by someones side. Enjoy the moments & don't stress about getting asked.

find someone else to go with and you start flittering with this other person or ask him to the dance, and tell the guy that likes you that you have liked this guy for a while . DO NOT tell him
"let's just be friends"
that is bad do not do that

what is wrong with you. you just said that you don't have anyone to go to the dance with and then some nice guy wants to ask you to the dance. girl you better go to the dance with him. the guy is realy in to u so u should be glad that someone wants to go to the dance with u. I bet there plenty of girls who wished some guy would ask them to the dance. you should know that u only have one life to live then everything is gone.

Well, it sounds like he is hinting around. Trying to see if u r interested or not. If u aren't, u could say, I'm thinking about going with a group of friends or I already have a date. Thanks for asking. It is probably hard for him to ask u, As, it is hard for u to turn him down. Thinking about the situation as if the shoe was on the other foot.

well it sound like he might possible ask you , either that or he knows one of his friends who will. If he does i would say thank you so much for asking me that is really sweet but I think i want to go to the dance with my friends. that should let him down gently. hope it all works out for you.

no, he is not going to ask you...boys dont have that kind of guts, I am guessing you are in Jr. High or High School. He is asking for a friend, because at that age we are all scared out of our minds of girls...It's actually me....do you want to go to the dance with me?

maybe one of his friends is going to ask you not him so just calm down. just wait and see what happens. if he does ask you then tell him you appreciate it but you will pass this time. but if you don't want to go with him for superficial reasons i think that is shallow. you never know, you might have the time of your life with him so don't be so quick to turn him down especially if no one else is knocking down your door.

If you dont like him, why agreed to go out wiht him? Say that you are not interesting at all. Break the date up soon before he break you up later painfully.

He might be telling the truth: It could be another guy. If it is him, you could just go as friends. Or, tell him that you're going with someone else, or that you're not going at all. But, be sure he doesn't see you there if you tell him you're not going.
