How long should I marinade a steak?

Marinade any were from 15 minutes to 48 hrs it depends.Do not use vinegar on meat to long it will start to cook the meat acid content will start to work.

As long as possible.I marinade my stuff ( we don't eat red meat) chicken or turkey several days in advance.What I use is: fresh garlic( a lot) fresh onion,fresh bell pepper,salt and dry spices:Italian seasoning,dry basil,dry parsley.Let me tell ya,Worcestershire sauce is good.I mix the fresh ones in a food chopper.In two minutes I have the best and fresh marinade stuff.Try it.

As long as possible. If you can do 24 hours do it. I have marinaded for as many as 2 full days. Just make sure you keep it refriderated.

I marinate mine overnight in a multiple blend of seasonings...yummy!

all night would be best, but if you have to cook it fast, maybe 30min...but the longer the better!
