...and how do you feel about someone who you're sharing a "conversation" with, particularily about a good issue, and doesn't let you get a word in edge-wise?

When I haven't had much sleep and/or too much caffeine... I babble like a babbling brook!

Yeah, I said the same thing in another answer I gave. They don't call it "spirits" for nothing. Every time I'm a little tipsy and having a good time with friends, the words just start flowing out of me. I seem to have something to say about everything. As I've gotten older, I can put the cap on it usually though. There is one other substance that makes the pulse, as well as the mouth, quicken...but J-Love doesn't speak of said adventures with strangers. ;-) As far as those who aren't equal opportunity conversationists... if I've said it once, I've said it a million times, conversation is a two way street. There is nothing ruder than someone dominating a conversation (and no bigger turn off ladies).

most often in a heated topic! if you're sharing a conversation with someone and they don't let you get a word in...then you're really not sharing!! this means the person just isn't a good listener....can they repeat anything that you might have said in that conversation to show you they are following you?

nervous, drunk.. really heated like you said, and yes it drives me nuts not to be able to get a word in edgewise..but I just try really hard to let the other person finish and then start talking, sometimes we talk at the same time I do that when I am excited about something so I try to watch so I don't do that

With age I've learned to talk less and be a good listener. And it's probably from having so many lengthy conversations with people who just don't let you get a word in edgewise and don't know when to shut up.

I babble when I'm nervous, especially if the other person's not saying anything. My mom used to get me and my brother this way all the time!

I'll let the other person talk if they're knowledgable and/or I'm interested. Sometimes I do feel compelled to wave my hand in front of their face or something.

I used to a lot, but I try to react naturally. If they're not letting me have a word in edgeways thats just plain rude.

I have no worries about this. In fact I worry about not talking enough. Other people usually talk much more and I allow them to do the talking.
