I was wondering are there medical symbols for medicine. I am allergic to penicillin an I would like to know should there be a pencillin symbol. I am thinking of tattooing it on my wrist. Thank you

There isn't a medical symbol for penicillin only the abbreviation PCN as several people have mentioned.
Besides the medic alert bracelet there is a medic alert necklace. There is even a medic alert tag that you can clip to your watch band if you prefer. Health professionals are use to these type of alert aides and look for them. They may not notice your tattoo or realize what it means.
Go to any pharmacy and check out what they have. Pharmacies that deal with a lot of different medical supplies may have more choices.

While there are a few symbols used in medicine, there is not one for Penicillin. However, there is a common abbreviation: Pcn (in red)

instad of tattooing it on yourself, why don't you try a Medic Alert bracelet? that is why they make them...it will not break off and Dr's always know to check for one if you are found unconscious before they treat you.
