Looking for some night hot spots, but also quiet/relaxing areas = not too touristy. Mid-high price range. Safety/clean areas a plus. More points if you can recommend a hotel on the island! Will be with a group of adults. Thanks!

My personal favorite is Guadeloupe. It is basically two islands joined by a bridge. The northern one is dry and flatter, beautiful beaches (some wild and sparsely populated, some very touristy). The other island is complete with a tropical rain forrest and a volcano.

You can visit mangroves, snorkel corail reefs (no trouble finding Nemo here). Most people speak French but menus are all in English. The local color is very colorful. It is not just a sterile white-bread resort.

There is a restaurant that serves manioc pancakes with a variety of fillings but you have to bring your own plates and cutlery (and wine).

February is a good month to visit because it is not too hot.

we've been to the two. Jamaica has greater effective atmosphere and between the main familiar vacationer web sites contained in the Caribbean at Dunn's River Falls. greater decrease priced specially relies upon on how plenty attempt you place into gaining knowledge of lodges and lodges and how a ways in improve you e book. shop looking over a era of weeks if no longer months to hit upon fee breaks. The foodstuff is greater Americanized contained in the U.S. Virgin Islands, even though it incredibly relies upon on your tastes. the different positioned up is powerful -- in case you pass to Jamaica, pass to an all-inclusive motel for defense. if so, you have many places to contemplate around the island. we've been to St. Thomas two times and enjoyed it, yet back it incredibly is totally commercial. I even have heard good issues approximately St. John. it incredibly is greater quiet if that's what you opt for. finally, as quickly as we walked around Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, we weren't in any respect taken care of badly by using everyone. We did get approached by using distributors, yet they have been well mannered. that does no longer mean the locals would be unable to be a situation, in simple terms that we did no longer experience something undesirable. Being careful is often a good concept in everywhere the place you do no longer comprehend the folk.

Deffinately Cuba or Dominican Republic, both are beatiful with warm blue-clear beaches. I would recomend Cuba. If you're an american citizen all you need to do is make a pettition to the U.S government to let you go and if they aprove it you can go. You will be surprised how warm and charming the people of this Island can be and how beautiful it is. Believe me. Good luck and if you have anymore questions add me on yahoo messenger: cubanito_terrible . Also contact me for pics and more info about the island and how to pettition the U.S Government to allow you to go. Oh i forgot. A great hotel in Varadero, Cuba is Ibersotar Barlovento. Its right next to the beach in the beautiful city of Varadero. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g147275-d535717-Reviews-Iberostar_Varadero-Varadero_Beach_Cuba.html
