I believe that we'd be less likely to appreciate Earth (I know we already show a lack of appreciation) if it proved to be indestructable.
And a more honest answer is: HE (SWT) Didn't make it differently, because HIS (SWT) Plans for it include all of what's happening to it (and us) right now.

im glad you believe Hes real....it is durable when you consider all the abuse of it for thousands of years...it isnt squished but its damanged by chemicals and crap making holes in the ozone layer...but we arent burning to death....from sun...
