Since this summer my digestive system has been crazy; sometimes I get diharea, sometimes my stomach hurts, I radomly get nautious... It will get better and then worse. I often feel kind of a bubbling in my stomach when things are getting worse and I think it might have something to do with acid. I have tried to find a common denominator, but I can't. I used to think it had to do with dairy, but it doesn't seem to. I've been under alot of stress that might have something to do with it. I am worried because in a week I am going to the Middle East on a study abroad and I don't want to get my system really, really messed up. What might I have?

I've also been really tired and kind of easily distracted since this started, but this could be unrelated. When it showed up I thought it was because I was Keflax (an antibiotic) for what I think was a poisonous spider bite I got while working at a summer camp.

It used to be intense stomach pain lasting for several hours (after drinking a yogurt smoothy usually) more than anything, but that has gone away...sometimes I even wonder if it is the same thing. I do have alot of stress in my life (the study abroad, transferring schools, hard classes, a demanding mother...), but yeah...

My trip is only 2 and half weeks, and we are going to Oman, which doesnt have super-great health care, but much better than most countries in the region, but I doubt that I will need it... my symptoms are really more annoying than anything. If you have any ideas of things I can try before having to go to a doctor they would be really appriated!

It might be Irrational Bowel Syndrome (IBS). I have it. It depend on what you ate that your stomach disagreed with. Stress is a common factor. Learn to handle stress will help in some way.Here a link for you to review and see if it match your condition. Since you are planning on going to Middle East, their food is different from where you live. Know what cause your problem first and avoid it.

well dear, it sounds to me like you have a ulcer. I could be wrong but those symptoms are similiar to something I had years ago and it was a alcur as well as acid reflux...You really need to see a doctor before taking your trip, incase it is a ulcer there is medication that they can give you to help your stomach and you feel better. Have you noticed any blood in your stool? you should keep track of all the symptoms and write them down to make sure you talk to the doctor about all of them..
I am not a doctor but I do think you need to see one immediatly, I am not trying to scare you I just don't want you to get sicker by letting this go without being checked any longer.
I wish you the best of luck and enjoy your study abroad..take care of yourself....and I hope that everything turns out allright!
::A big hug for you::

I seriously don't think you will solve this problem in a week. There should be tests done to find the problem and I have a feeling it will take longer than a week. The middle east has many problems with intestional issues, poor drinking water and often food contamination. With that said, you need to be feeling very good in order to handle the issues you will face there. If at all possible get yourself straightned out first and then go and enjoy your trip. Besides who would you go to for help once there? You would have to go thr all kinds of testing there to find the problem if it don't stop on its own. Good Luck and P.S. you might make sure that your insurance company will handle bills that you may have there.

I think that you might have acid reflux disease, just a guess based on your symptoms. But you should really see a doctor in case it turns out to be something worse. I have the same problems sometimes and find an antacid works well.

you may have a parasite... I know that sounds gross, but one of my friends had one and she had the same symptons as you... I would definitely recommend going to the doctor before you leave... I by the way have acid reflux and I get the bubbling in my stomach I take Zantac 75 twice a day everyday and it really helps with that

Stress can definitely cause your stomach troubles. But it could also be a lot of other things. You REALLY need to see your doctor. You don't want to go to the middle east when you have these propblems because you do NOT want to have to be in a hospital over there. Oh, no, no, no!

You might have a viral infection. I got one from drinking the water in mexico... BAD IDEA! Sometimes Immodium AD can help with those infections, if you try this and it doesnt work, see a doctor.

It could be stress which gives many people stomach upset and diarrhea... or it could be something more serious such as ileitis, colitis, irritible bowel syndrome...
Never take risks with your health and see a doctor for proper diagnosis.

I started using digestive enzymes, raw apple cider vinegar, and fiber and I no longer have that problem. It could be you need the fiber and enzymes or your body cannot tolerate some foods. I cannot eat Pizza Hut pizza. I'm thinking it has something to do with the oil they use.
